Our Sick Baby :(

I took SK to the doctor today b/c she's been running a temp. for a few days. Saturday night she was really hot & had a temp of 102. She slept with me & Eric and was just so sweet. She would just lay there and look at us. Eric was rubbing her hair and when he finished she looked at him and rubbed his face. How sweet! I hate that she's sick but it's so sweet when she'll just love on us. Anyway, I took her to the doc. today and she has a u.t.i. :( Her temp was 104 when we got there. I just cried when they had to put the catheter (spelling ?) in. It is so heart breaking to see your baby in pain. Praise the Lord for the wonderful nurses who were doing it. She is on antibiotics now so hopefully she'll be back to her old self soon. Please keep her in your prayers. She's already been feeling much better tonight, she's back to pushing Kitty around in her baby stroller. That's always a good sign! I've attached a pic. of SK earlier this week. Isn't she sweet? :)

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

Hey everyone! It's so nice to be able to post pictures again! I'm still working on figuring out the whole posting video thing but hopefully I'll have that down soon. We're all doing great. Sara Kate went this week to the eye doctor and we found out that she does need glasses. I had a feeling she would, her left eye has been turning in some so I knew it was coming. She also has to wear a patch, we call it her pirate patch, for 3 hrs. a day over her good eye so her weak eye will become stronger. She wore it today for the whole 3 hrs., we were so proud of her! I tried yesterday but she wasn't liking it too good & cried and kept trying to pull it off! I was so discouraged. That was my prayer request last night at bible study that she would be content with wearing it. God is just so good! Today she did great and it didn't even bother her. She ran around like her normal self.

Eric and I are going tomorrow to pick out her glasses, we're thinking pink? ;) Her eyes aren't too terribly bad but the docs wanted to go ahead and put her in glasses so that her sight would hopefully get better and one day she may not even need them. I'm anxious to see how she does with them, she doesn't like sunglasses but God is good and faithful and I know he'll take care of her. Please keep SK in your prayers, that she'll adjust to wearing glasses and keep doing good with the eye patch.

So, I knew this was going to happen one day. SK is in love... with Mickey Mouse!! She absolutely LOVES him. When she wakes up in the morning she wants her Kitty, milk, and Mickey. She'll bring me the remote and say "Mim-me" meaning Mickey. She'll sit in her little chair and watch at least 10 minutes of it. It comes on Disney every morning at 7:30 incase any of you want to watch it. :) We DVR it so we have PLENTY of Mickey's saved up. Eric and I even watched 2 or 3 episodes last night before she went to bed. There is a song at the end and she'll just dance and cheer. I have a cute video of her dancing along to share. When it's over she'll bring me the remote and say "more peas". This is the first show that she'll actually sit down and watch. She's never been big into watching t.v. I mean, I don't want her to be a couch potato or anything, but it's nice to put it on and get things done. Eric found his Mickey Mouse when he was little today and she'll kiss it and say "Mim-mee!" I thought this was so cute so I had to share it. :)

Hey everyone! Sorry I don't have any recent pics. to post. SK chewed on the cord that downloads the pics. from the camera to the computer so now we'll have to get a new one. We've been really busy lately and I've taken tons of pics. to share so as soon as we get a new cord I'll have tons of new pics. for y'all to look at. Most of the pics. are of my parents and Granny's visit out here to Texas. We had the best time! Granny did great on the airplane, her first time flying! We were all so happy to see them. SK knows so many new words now, she can now say "choc-lot", "m and m's" and "can-dee!" She repeats everything we say now, very clearly too. Mom, Granny, SK, and I were all driving in the car one day and SK said very loudly, "Tanya!" It was very cute. She also has been putting words together. She'll say, "Abby, no-no!" "more, pease" and "open, pease". She usually wants me to open the pantry so she can get into everything!
Hope you all are doing good and I promise to post new pics. as soon as I can. I also have video on my camera to share as soon as I figure out how to do it! We miss you all!
