Hi everyone! Eric, Sara Kate, Abby, and I went camping at Canyon Lake this past weekend with our bible study. It was about an hour away and we stayed in little shelters by the lake. The air force base owns it and it's a neat place to go and get away. We had a great time! Eric was so excited, he pulled out all of his camping gear! We left Friday and stayed until Sunday. Friday we just grilled out and sat by the fire. The kids went to sleep around 7:30 and then we all hung out by the fire and had a bible study. It was so pretty being outside and seeing the stars. You forget how beautiful they are with no street lights around! Oh, I have to mention that Sara Kate did great sleeping in her pack-n-play. That was the first time she had slept in it. So on Saturday we took out a boat and grilled by the fire again. There was also a really neat playground for the kids. Eric loved sliding down the slide with Sara Kate! I think he just used her as an excuse to slide! We got up Sunday morning and came home. I posted a few pictures, I will try and put them all up on our website soon. Enjoy!

Calling Santa

I took some pictures the other day of Sara Kate in her new Christmas outfit. I was trying to get a good one for our Christmas cards this year but Sara Kate wasn't up for having her picture taken. The only thing that made her happy was holding the phone. She loves it! She loves to put it up to her ear, backwards of course, and "talk". She will babble and babble. I thought it was a cute picture, she looks like she's calling Santa and telling him what she wants for Christmas!

Little Miss Sara Kate

Abby's trying to tell Sara Kate how to turn the car around!
What do I do now?

Wait Daddy! I'm trying to brush my hair!
Smiling even though her clothes are falling off! ;)

Hi! Sara Kate had a great week this week. First, she finally learned how to walk behind her push toy independently and loves it! She bumps into everything and hasn't quite figured out how to turn it around but she still has a great time. Second, she got her big girl carseat. She wasn't too sure about it at first but I think she'll really learn to love it. I don't have any pictures of her in it yet but I will post some soon. Eric and I did video tape her first ride though! She also has discovered how fun brushing her hair can be. Although, she probably loves chewing on it more than anything but she will brush her HAIR some too! Also, she melted Eric's heart this week by saying "Hey Daddy!" when he walked in the door from work. She usually says DaDa when she sees him but this was the first time she said Hey Daddy very clearly. He just melted! :)

Sara Kate

Mom, why are you taking my picture?
cheese!
How does this go again?
This is so much fun!

Chewing on the pieces

Here are some pictures of Sara Kate playing in the kitchen. We bought here a Fridge Farm and she LOVES it! Of course she would rather chew on the pieces than play with them but it entertains her just the same. A lot of times that is the only way I can get stuff done in the kitchen is when she is playing with that. Enjoy!

Coming Home Soon!

I just can't wait to go to Georgia!

Hi everyone! Sara Kate and I booked our flight home today. We are super excited! We will be flying home November 25 and will fly back on Dec. 16. Eric's brother, Taylor, is coming to visit and will be here on Thanksgiving so Sara Kate and I will fly back with him on Saturday. Eric will come home a little later, Dec. 10 I think, and we will fly back together. We are so happy and excited about seeing our family & friends! Please pray that Sara Kate will do great on the airplanes and that we will have a safe and sane flight! :) Here are some pictures that I took of Sara Kate today.

Halloween

Guess who ate some chocolate
Eric in his mullet & the princess Princess Sara Kate & Mama

Here are a few pictures we took of Sara Kate before she went trick-or-treating. We took her to the neighbors across the street so we could say that she went. She had a great time! Later we had some friends and neighbors over for chili and hot dogs. Eric made his "famous" chili and two other friends brought their chili so we could compare and see who made the best. Of course, Eric said he won! Eric also brought out his mullet and ugly teeth and wore it around. We laugh so hard at it every year! I've also included a picture of Sara Kate eating a piece of chocolate today. She loves it, she's just like her Mom! She had it everywhere especially on her white shirt!
