Baby Shower

This Saturday, Jan. 24, our sweet friends Rebecca, Ginny, Mary & Leia threw Rachel and I a baby shower at Ginny's house. Everything was wonderful! Ginny had it decorated just so cute. The food was so yummy and we had a great time visiting with everyone. Sheperd and Luke got tons of cute little clothes, who knew that little boy clothes could be cute too? Thanks to everyone who came and made our shower so special! The above picture is of me outside Ginny's house right before the shower.

Ginny got these frames for me & Rachel. Luke's room is cowboy themed and Sheperd's is blue & white.
Our sweet friends, I hate we didn't get everyone. Some people had to leave early.

Fun in January

Sara Kate & her sweet little friend Abby at Abby's 3rd birthday party.

Rachel and me at Abby's party. We told Eric to take a picture of us since we didn't have any pregnancy pics. together and he didn't even get our stomachs!
me, Naomi & Rachel. We laughed b/c we all were wearing black. Naomi is due in Feb. & Rachel and I are both due in March.

When I asked SK if she got into my lipstick she replied, "no!" Do you think she was telling the truth? :)

Last week our sweet bunko girls threw Rachel and I a surprise baby shower at bunko. We were so surprised! Loretta had it decorated so cute, I wish I would've gotten a picture of all the little details.

I love this picture of Eric and SK. When E gets home from work Sara Kate loves for him to play with her. In this picture Eric is teaching her how to count in Spanish. :)

This weekend Eric had off so he & SK put the bed Pa built together for Sheperd. She was such a good little helper. More pics. from Sheperd's room will come later when it's all finished!

This weekend was also open bull riding at the rodeo. We went and watched our friends Daniel and Andy ride. When we first got there SK saw the bull and said, "Look Mama! A horse!"

I got some money Mama...

Sara Kate was walking around the house today with her purse, dress up shoes and her cell phone to her ear. I heard her digging in her purse and this is how the conversation went.
Me: Sara Kate, do you have some money?
SK: Yes, I do! I think I need to put it in my piggy bank. (She definitely gets this from Eric. I always thought if I had a dollar I needed to spend it!)
Me: I think that's a great idea. Where did you get the money?
SK: Out of your wallet. (with a huge grin on her face!)

SK's quotes

Sara Kate has really been cracking me up lately with some of the things she says. I wanted to write them down so I don't forget them! Here are just a few:

The other day Sara Kate looked at Eric and said, "Daddy, when you get bigger maybe you can wear glasses like me."

When I dropped Sara Kate off at school yesterday she said to her baby Sam, "Don't cry Baby Sam, I'll be back. I love you!" and gave him a big kiss.

I was telling Sara Kate to get out of my make-up and she turned to me and said, "Mama, just don't worry about it. It's fine!"

Sara Kate also LOVES to dance around in her underwear. She'll shake it to one side and it always cracks me up. For some reason when she does this it reminds me of my Grandmama (not that she dances around in her underwear!) So, one day I told her you look just like Grandmama. Now she'll dance around and say, "shake it like Grandmama!"

Sara Kate CAN NOT leave the house unless she has her purse, cell phone, keys & her baby doll. Well, one morning we were running late and SK couldn't find her purse (she has tons of purses but she couldn't find the one she wanted). I told her, "we'll get it later, we have to go!" and she turned to me and said, "would you want to leave without your purse?" Needless to say, we found the purse! :)
