Our Little Pooh!

Happy Fall everyone! I've been taking pictures of Sara Kate in different Halloween outfits for her birthday invitations. We're doing a costume party so S.K.'s invitations are going to be her dressed up in different costumes. Different friends have loaned me costumes and this one my friend Loretta let me borrow. Sara Kate loved the Pooh outfit and smiled so big for all of her pictures! So far she's been a giraffe, cowgirl, princess, cheerleader, and little red riding hood. Bless her heart, yesterday I dressed her up in 3 costumes and she did so good. I was out in the front yard so a lot of the neighbors came over to see her all dressed up!

Our Good Girl

Yesterday I was so proud of Sara Kate. I have bible study at church on Tuesdays at 9:00 and I always hope and pray that she'll be a good girl in the nursery. I was especially scared about dropping her off b/c she's teething and she had woken up 3 times in the middle of the night crying. So, I was prepared for them to call me during the bible study to come and get her. When I dropped her off she just looked at me and smiled. Of course I just wanted to grab her and give her another hug before leaving but I knew she wouldn't smile at me when I finally decided to leave. The study ended around 11:30 and when I went to pick her up I peaked in the window and saw her sitting on the floor playing with another little girl. She looked so cute! When she saw me, she started saying, "Mama, Mama!" The nursery worker handed her to me and said that she did so good! She said Sara Kate was so sweet and another lady said that she loved listening to her make all kinds of noises. I'm not really sure what all kind of noises she was making but I was so proud of her!

Howdy!

Here is a picture of Sara Kate wearing her friend Elijah's cowboy hat. She would only keep it on for a second but I did manage to get her picture. Eric loved kissing his little cowgirl! I absolutely love watching Eric with Sara Kate. She loves her daddy too! My favorite time of the day is when Eric gets home from work, not just because I can get some help :), but because Sara Kate's face lights up when he walks in the door. Abby and Sara Kate are both so excited to see him, I think they're pretty tired of me by the end of the day!

Pooped!

Today was a very hectic day! Our neighborhood does a neighborhood yard sale so Eric and I thought this would be a good time to go through all of our old clothes and get rid of some things. He had today off so he could help me with it. We started LAST NIGHT getting ready for this. We stayed up too late and of course Sara Kate woke up way too early. The yard sale started at 9:00 and we got rid of most of our stuff. I was so proud of Eric for getting rid of a lot of his stuff, he's such a pack rat! Of course, I made fun of him for a lot of the stuff he wanted to sale. I told him no one would pay to have any of that, but it was the first things we sold this morning! He loved proving me wrong. Sara Kate loved watching all the people and Abby loved barking at everyone that came in our driveway. After the yard sale, we took Sara Kate to have her pictures made. She did pretty good, she would smile AFTER they took her picture. We ended up with some good ones though. We had to wait a while before they were able to start taking her pictures so I was thankful she was still in a pretty good mood. When we got home she was so tired that we had to wake her up at 7:30 b/c we were afraid she wouldn't sleep tonight. She was in bed again around 9:00 so hopefully she'll sleep good tonight!

Play group

This past Wednesday Sara Kate and I hosted play group at our house. I had the hardest time thinking of different things for the kids to do. Most of the kids are Sara Kate's age but there are a few older kids, by that I mean 2! I set up the baby pools outside and had Sara Kate's toys EVERYWHERE! Of course, Sara Kate was fussy that morning and wanted me to hold her. What a morning! We had a good time though and Sara Kate stopped fussing as soon as her friends came. Thank God! We played inside for a little bit and then we went outside and played. Some of the kids swam and Sara Kate took a dip without a bathing suit on. Oh well! After everyone left Sara Kate took a great nap, which I was very thankful for! We are really liking play group and I enjoy the other moms. One of the girls is from Argentina and I just love her accent. Another Mom is from Mexico and I love how she talks to her daughter in English and Spanish. Maybe I'll learn some new words!

Labor Day

Sara Kate and her friend Salem are skinny dipping on Labor Day! Jonhenry is trying to be a good boy and get out of the pool as soon as he can!

Play group

Here is a picture of Sara Kate playing with her friends at play group. We meet every Wednesday morning and Sara Kate really seems to enjoy it. She loves to watch all the other kids play. We are having it at our house next week so hopefully Sara Kate will enjoy sharing her toys!

Our Princess

Here is a picture of Sara Kate in her new Halloween costume. She is going to have a costume party for her birthday so we thought it would be cute for her to be the princess. Now she can get more wear out of her Halloween costume!

Hi everyone! This is my first official blog ever. Our friend Lauren has a blog and I loved looking at hers so I thought it would be fun to do one too.
